eLearning courses are a great way to spend a few hours becoming an “expert” in a subject. Anyone can teach one, and anyone can take one as well. Some of them are free and others are offered for a fee. Most of those behind the movement towards eLearning platforms conceptualized the tool as a way for students to learn traditional coursework in a non-traditional environment. Biology, algebra, Internet design, and self-marketing are several great tools that can be learned in these sorts of courses. However, there are several strage skills that the founders of eLearning platforms probably did not expect students to focus on when they conceptualized the program.

Lie Detecting

There are several courses offered online in the art of becoming a Human Lie Detector. These courses, surprisingly enough, are frequently offered by members of the forensics department in major investigation squads, up to and including the federal level. While they are not among the most popular of courses, the fact that they are so prevalent connotes the rise in public fascination with the very nature of truth.

Nude Modeling

Usually found under the “Photography” section of eLearning courses, this course is a study more in the actual posing than going out and finding jobs. Some course essentials contain the nature of nude modeling, how to know if a nude modeling job is legitimate, and tips about how to pose in order to highlight your fullest potential.

Wedding Dancing

Have you ever felt awkward when dancing at a wedding? The proponents of this course believe it’s a common enough phenomenon that they published an entire course about it. Judging by the number of people signed up, this is a popular enough fear that they were correct.

Divination

Divination is the art of “telling the future by looking at cards”. No, not Tarot cards; this course teaches the way of telling the future using run-of-the-mill playing cards. We’re guessing that the King of Diamonds means wealth, but then again, we’re not qualified to teach this class. For all we know, that could be death.

Make Money Gaming

There are courses that teach how to make money by playing games online for game testing companies. These courses aim to help teach different “strategies” for getting paid while playing games. We’re guessing that if there was that much strategy to it, making money by playing games wouldn’t be a billion dollar industry. Actually, scratch that, making money by playing games isn’t a billion dollar industry. Oh, well, there goes that idea.

Become a Magician

While becoming a magician is in fact a career that some people choose to pursue, we’re not sure that too many of them come to that decision by taking a three-hour class online. This course promises to teach “21 magic tricks” using items found around the usual home. At least we have to admit that it sounds like a lot more fun than algebra, even if it probably won’t transfer you to a four-year university.
